When do I need a BER?
Selling
If you are selling your home or property, you will need to obtain a BER Certificate. A completed Certificate will allow the potential buyer to see the energy rating on your property.
Renting
For renting your property you will also need a BER Certificate. This will enable the potential renter to see the energy rating of your property.
SEAI Grant
In order to claim an SEAI grant, you will need to have a qualified and registered BER Assessor complete a BER on your property.
